About Us
Stephen J. Bodnar
As our president, Steve wears many hats. He is actively involved with our day-to day operations; writes software and websites for many of our customers; and is heavily involved in the Conference Services part of the company.
Steve regularly speaks at developer user groups and conferences all over the country. In 2011, he had his first speaking opportunity at a non-developer conference at OrgPro 2011.
Steve has also been elected the president of the Mid Atlantic Developer Expo which is a non-profit created to organize MADExpo, a developer conference in Hampton, Virginia.
Steve started working as an independent in September 1999. He created Geeks and Gurus, LLC in 2000 and Geeks and Gurus, Inc. in 2001. Prior to that, Steve was the IT Manager for The Kresge Foundation and a Senior Developer for CompuTools, Inc, both located in Troy, Michigan.
He currently lives in Newport News, Virginia with his wife and three boys.
Richard W. Addison
Rich heads up our office in Kalamzoo, Michigan and just joined us in January. We'll get more infomration up here very soon. face in a book.
Daniel J. Bodnar
DJ leads our .NET development, currently focusing on line-of-business applications utilizing C#, MVVM, Expression Blend, Entity Framework and SQL Server. We also take advantage of his previous experiences to manage the various internal accounting aspects of the business.
Before joining Geeks and Gurus, DJ worked as a Controller and IT Manager fror BMT Aerospace (formerly Caratron Industries) in Fraser, Michigan, where he was involved with the implementation of a company-wide ERP system and the related process of obtaining ISO and QS certifications.
DJ attended Michigan Technological University where he received a BS in Accounting
Gregory J. McCaffrey
Greg McCaffrey leads the Conference Services division at Geeks and Gurus. Greg came out of retirement after a full career that touched many parts of the IT industry as well as small and large company operations.
Greg was contracted by IBM, HP and CDI Corporation to lead large-scale server deployment and support teams, as well as change management and asset management projects at client sites including Ford Motor Company, Bearing Point and General Motors Corporation.
Greg started out at Geeks and Gurus by assisting on-site at conferences, and now plays key roles in logistics, procurement, imaging, deployment, sales and long term planning.
